The roof is the single most important part of your home and often the most neglected. Roofs come in all shapes and sizes and during a re-roof we look at all opportunities to correct problems you may be experiencing with your current roof. Clients often have problems with their roofs due to neglect or poor workmanship. A reputable roofing contractor will exceed the specs required by the IBC (International Building Code). My philosophy is I am going to re-roof your home the same way I would my parents home. I won’t tolerate sub-par workmanship or skimping on quality products.
Analyzing current problems with your roof, such as shingle deterioration is also associated with hail or other accelerated wearing factors. Often times ice dams and hail storms go unnoticed and lead to future shingle problems that may take a few years to reveal themselves. Shingle curling, blistering or wind damage may occur after these events. Always have your roof inspected by a contractor after or during these events to determine if any follow up action is needed with your insurance company. Not inspecting for damage may lead to costly repairs or leaks into your home.

Hail typically causes damage like this but it would tend to be more uniform unless there were trees or something else blocking the hail hitting certain areas of the roof. This type of curling will take months to occur which is a great reason why it is important to get your roof checked after any hail storm. This particular situation was due in part to a manufacturer defect which we were able to provide a claim for the customer to be reimbursed. This problem was also worsened by the previous two hail storms. The owner stated that "the shingles just curled up over the summer".
